Last year Rosemount Resource Centre undertook a project which gathered in toys and food to be distributed to those in most need in our Community.

Although this project was undertaken on a purely voluntary basis and without much pre planning we succeeded in at least helping alleviate some of the stress and pressure felt by a small section of our community.

This year after discussion with a number of other willing participants we have decided to christen the project "FREECYCLE" and to broaden our sphere of operation and include additional partners in the effort.

Accordingly we wish to announce that collections for toys, non perishable goods or donations will be taken at a number of city locations.

Rosemount Resource Centre in partnership with Teens for Culture, Creggan Community Collective and Teach Na Failte have organised the following collection points and opening hours.

Rosemount : Rosemount Resource Centre :   11:00am - 3:00pm  Mon - Thursday   Telephone 02871282829

Creggan:        Creggan Community Collective:  11:00am - 3:00pm  Mon - Thursday   Telephone 02871360449

Shantallow:   Teens for Culture:                       11:00am - 3:00pm  Mon - Thursday   Telephone 07851154374

Bogside:          Teach Na Failte:                          11:00am - 3:00pm  Mon - Thursday   Telephone 02871265145

In order to allow for sorting and distribution we need to request that contributions be brought to any of the above between 4th November and 30th November.

We have to stop accepting donations by the 30th November.

Distribution to recipients will take place in the period leading up to Christmas. ( Details will be announced)

Please remember that toys are intended as Santa gifts for Children and accordingly their condition needs to be appropriate.

If anyone knows of someone in need of such help this year we would ask you to contact any of the above with the information.

For Young Adults every Tuesday from 4:30-5:30pm

In the Rosemount Resource Centre £2 per class.
