The twin-track approach adopted by the Centre has enabled us on the one hand to develop the social support structures necessary to provide crucial immediate help to those in need whilst at the same time it allows us to assist in the preparation and delivery of pathways to progress.
Since the time of the ACE programme Rosemount Resource Centre has been providing a wide range of training for our own staff. More recently this had been continued for placements under programmes such as Steps to Work and Training for Success. Initially much of our in-house training was restricted to non-accredited courses such as Personal Development , Health and Safety, Job Search Skills etc. Accredited training is provided by outside agencies.
Individual training programmes are organised through appropriate projects and are co-ordinated centrally by Rosemount Resource Centre enabling us to put social support measures in place where necessary. Training and skill development are key both to the development of the individual client and to the long-term sustainability of Rosemount Resource Centre. It is therefore a central role in all of our activities and will grow in proportion to our and to the community 's needs.
